LCBC secured a SGD 91.5 million construction contract for commercial development at Biopolis Road/Biomedical Grove

LCBC was awarded a S$91.5 million contract by Ascendas Venture Pte Ltd to construct a commercial development at Biopolis Road/Biomedical Grove.
The scope of the contract includes the design and build of a 7-storey building with a mezzanine floor and a basement carpark, with project completion expected in August 2013.
Lum Chang Building Contractors conferred two Construction Productivity Awards

Lum Chang Building Contractors (LCBC) was conferred both the Best Value-Added Productivity (VAP) Builder and Best VAP Improvement Builder by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA).
The inaugural Construction Productivity Awards was launched at the 2011 BCA Awards Ceremony 2011 and aims to recognise industry players’ efforts in improving productivity both at the company and project levels. The awards received strong support and garnered 85 nominations.
This is the first time that LCBC is receiving an award for its industry competence in achieving outstanding VAP levels. LCBC was also one of three companies recognised for best improvement in VAP. As a builder, LCBC is committed to improving work place efficiency through constantly improving its construction methods and work processes.
LCBC Joint Venture wins the BCA Construction Excellence Award for Circle Line Stage 2 Contract 823

Lum Chang Building Contractors and Nishimatsu Construction Joint Venture is one of the five recipients to be conferred the BCA Construction Excellence Award in the Civil Engineering Projects Category.
As the Builder of this winning project, LCBC together with Nishimatsu carried out the construction and completion of the stations at Old Airport Road, Tanjong Katong and Paya Lebar including tunnels. This Circle Line project has enabled the company to realise its potential in Civil Engineering and winning this award gave the company recognition in being a responsible and committed construction firm that delivers ultimate standards of construction excellence.
Introduced in 1986, the BCA Construction Excellence Awards aim to provide recognition to projects that demonstrates the highest standards of construction excellence in Singapore. Said BCA spokesperson, “The Construction Excellence Awards take into account all round performance that includes other criteria such as safety, environmental consciousness, innovation as well as a strong emphasis on productivity”.
LCBC was awarded the SGD 152 million tender to build a commercial development at Science Park Drive

LCBC was awarded the tender by Ascendas Land (Singapore) Pte Ltd to build a commercial development at Science Park Drive for a contract sum of S$152 million.
The development comprises of three office buildings of one 7-storey and two 8-storey blocks. Construction will be carried out in two phases and include the demolition of existing buildings, and is scheduled to commence in May 2011, with project completion expected to be in August 2015.
LCBC was awarded the SGD 297.7 million tender to build an office development at North Buona Vista Drive

LCBC was awarded the tender by Ho Bee (One-North) Pte Ltd to build an office development at North Buona Vista Drive for a contract sum of S$297.7 million.
The development comprises of two office tower blocks of 21 and 23 storeys respectively with three basement levels of carpark. Construction will be carried out in two phases, and is scheduled to commence in March 2011, with project completion expected to be in September 2013.
